Goods and Services Tax Credit

The goods and services tax/harmonized sales tax (GST/HST) credit is a tax-free quarterly payment that helps people and families with low and modest incomes offset the GST or HST that they pay. It may also include payments from provincial and territorial programs.

The Child Tax Benefit

Some Canadians are eligible for help with the cost of raising their children. The Canada Child Tax Benefit is a tax-free monthly payment to help cover the costs of raising children younger than 18.
