Culturefest
Culturefest is an annual celebration of the vibrant tapestry of international cultures that call the Saint John Region home. The festival showcases the area’s ethnocultural groups through captivating music, mesmerizing dance performances, and colourful traditional attire. Explore the cultural village—where you'll have the opportunity to interact with representatives from various ethnocultural groups—and discover the customs, traditions, and stories that make each culture unique. This event is organised by the Saint John Newcomers Centre.
PRIDE Week
Celebrated in the Saint John Region each August, and PRIDE month in June across Canada. PRIDE events include parades, concerts, showcases, networking events, panels, and art shows. All are a way to celebrate, support, and reflect the LGBTQ+ community and its allies.
AREA 506
A music festival taking place over the New Brunswick Day long weekend. Featuring local, national, and international musical acts, as well as a container village with food, art, and products produced in New Brunswick.
Third Shift
A night-time exhibition of public contemporary art, including temporary installations, performances, and projections. It offers a unique opportunity to engage with contemporary art and re-imagine the urban space.
Uptown Sparkles
A magical winter themed experience featuring the charm of Uptown Saint John. Enjoy the Mayor’s Tree Lighting, the historic City Market lit up in spectacular splendour, Victorian Carollers, Horse Trolley Rides, a holiday Craft Market, and much more. Bring the family out and visit the Uptown shops, boutiques and restaurants for holiday specials and treats.
Queen Square Farmers Market
An open-air market located Uptown on the South Central Peninsula. Farmers, food vendors, artists, and musicians showcase their products to hundreds of residents each Sunday. The Market operates rain or shine from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. every Sunday from Mother's Day to mid-October.
Public Library
Find a wide variety of free-of-charge services and programs for children, adults, teens, and seniors. Your library card gives you access to over a million books located across the province.
