Imperial Theatre 

The Imperial Theatre is an 800-seat theatre in the heart of Uptown Saint John. Described by The Globe and Mail newspaper as, “the most beautifully-restored theatre in Canada”, Imperial Theatre offers diverse and inclusive performances and programming, community outreach, and a Newcomer Ambassadors Program. Saint John Arts Centre 

The Saint John Arts Centre is a multidisciplinary venue, dedicated to serving the community through arts, educational and cultural programming accessible to all. Programming includes an exhibition schedule in five galleries; workshops in visual, performing and fine arts; literary series; performing arts in theatre and music; educational tours; community, social and ceremonial events; and youth development programs.

Arts and Culture Activities 

The Saint John Region has many professional and recreational organizations providing training, outreach, and performance opportunities for children, youth, and adults. The Saint John Theatre Company, InterAction School of Performing Arts, Connections Dance Works, Symphony New Brunswick, and Third Space Gallery are just some of the many arts and cultural companies offering programs to residents.

New Brunswick Museum 

The City of Saint John is home to Canada’s oldest continuing museum, the New Brunswick Museum! Over a dozen galleries explore themes that are important to our province. Stories from extensive art, history and natural science collections are the focus in the feature galleries, and an active schedule of temporary exhibitions means there’s something new to experience every visit.

Saint John City Market 

Open year-round, the Saint John City Market is famous for its variety of local fresh produce, crafts, art, cuisine, and much more. The Market is the oldest continuing farmers’ market in Canada, and a gathering place for locals and visitors alike. During the summer months, a weekly Night Market takes place along South Market Street, with an assortment of local vendors and live music.

L’Association Régionale de la Communauté francophone (ARCf) de Saint-Jean 

Social, cultural, and community programming are part of the initiatives of l'ARCf de Saint-Jean. They offer a variety of activities for Francophones, Francophiles, and lovers of the French language at the Samuel-de-Champlain Community Centre. Shows, plays, and bilingual cinema are regularly presented in the performance hall while the art gallery presents free exhibitions on a free visit. Art workshops are also offered to the community during the year.
