Insurance

In order to own an automobile in New Brunswick, it’s mandatory under law that you have automobile insurance. Prices of car insurance vary, so you should check with several insurance companies to get the best deal.

Registration

Drivers need to have a valid automobile registration at all the times. You can register your vehicle at a Service New Brunswick office.

Maintenance

Due to the region’s closeness to the ocean and winter road salting, cars do tend to rust. Therefore, many car owners choose to get an anti-corrosion treatment done at a car shop. There are many car shops in the Saint John Region to choose from. Typically they are closed on weekends and holidays.

Motor Vehicle Inspection

A Motor Vehicle Inspection (MVI) is required to ensure that all motor vehicles on the road meet required safety standards. It is valid for two years.
