Summer Camps

In the Saint John Region and across the province, the school year runs from September to June. Children do not have school in July or August. Since kids under 12 years old cannot stay home alone, working parents often need to find a way to have their children cared for during these two months. Summer camps are a popular option that parents turn to.

Financial assistance

All summer camps come with a fee, which can be higher or lower depending on the type of camp and the camp organizer. If your financial circumstances make it difficult for you to pay for summer camps, you can apply for financial support.

The YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick’s Strong Communities Fund makes the Y accessible to everyone.
